One of my favorite homemade skin treatments to make is an Avocado Face Mask. It really relaxes me and helps me to relieve stress, and it just really feels great on my skin.

You’ve probably heard that an avocado face mask is good for your face, but you may not know why. Avocados are high in monounsaturated, which is a good fat. You’ve probably heard of this fat referred to as omega-3 fatty acids. When your create your homemade avocado mask and apply it to your face it will help to hide wrinkles by plumping the skin.

Not only does a homemade avocado mask plump your skin, but it also moisturizes your skin with the natural oils from the avocado. The vitamin E and vitamin C within the avocado are also very healthy for your skin.

So, now that we’ve both established how good an avocado face mask can be for you, I think we can also both agree that getting an avocado face mask at your local spa is SUPER DUPER EXPENSIVE. This is why I opt to my my own avocado masks at home. They’re simple and easy to whip up. Here’s what you’ll need for your homemade avocado mask:

1 Avocado

2 Tbs Water

2 tsp Honey

First, take your avocado and split it. Then remove the pit. Now, chop up the avocado into small pieces and put it into your blender. One its fairly smooth, add the honey and water and blend until creamy. There shouldn’t be any clumps at all. Your homemade avocado mask should be very smooth.

This is just one of dozens and dozens of recipes that you can make. One of the best things you can do is invest in this product here. I use it almost every time I make any type of spa product from home. You can’t go wrong with it at all!

What woman doesn’t love bubble baths? They’re great for relieving stress and relaxing, and they can be very romantic. Luckily, it’s also fairly easy to create your own luxurious bath whether you create homemade bath bombs or you make your own solid bubble bath bars at home. This allows you to customize your bubble bath and save money. Plus, it’s fun! I know I LOVE making these, and it also just feels so good after a long day of hopping into the tub.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

3 Cup – Baking Soda

1 Cup – Cream of Tartar

1 Cup – Glycerin Liquid

1 tsp. – Water-Based Soap Colorant

2 Tbs – Fragrance of your Choice

The first thing you must do is make sure to wash your hands very well. You don’t want to be putting dirt or bacteria into your soap as you make it. I also recommend that you wear a pair of thing rubber gloves too when preparing the soap. You don’t want the colorant to dye your skin.

Now, grab a large bowl and mix together all of the dry bubble bath bar ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to do this. Don’t use a kitchen mixer. Make sure you blend everything together well so that there are no lumps.

Next, add your liquid coolant to your bubble bath mixture. Make sure that you don’t use too much dye because you don’t want it to stain your tub! I usually try to mach the color to the fragrance I’m using. Don’t use a red colorant if you’re using a citrus fragrance.

Now you can add the fragrance. I usually add around 2 Tbs, which is approximately 60 drops from the eye dropper. I think this will depend on how you like your bubble bath to smell. Mix everything together.

You’re now ready to add your homemade bubble bath mixture to a loaf pan. It often takes me two loaf pans here. Let the mixture sit in the loaf pan for about an hour and it should begin to set. Once your bubble bath loaf is firm you can remove it from the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut the loaf. I usually cut them into slices just like I would a pumpkin bread loaf.

After cutting, place the slices on wax paper on cookie sheets. Let them dry overnight and they should harden and cure. Wrap them in cellophane or bag them in plastic baggies. Store them in a cool, dry place. Your homemade bubble bath bars should last you about three months. This is just a beginner recipe and instructions that I put together. If you want to really learn how to make absolutely amazing homemade spa products like solid bubble bath bars, I highly recommend this eBook.

Here is a favorite recipe of mine, and when people use this they just give me so many compliments on the recipe. It pairs up nicely when you make it with solid bubble bath bars.

There are a number of benefits to making your own homemade whipped body butter. I think the best two benefits of making your own whipped body butter is that it saves money, and you know exactly what’s going into the body butter. Body butter itself generally comes in many forms, including shea body butter, cocoa body butter, aloe body butter and mango body butter.

If you want to make your own whipped body butter, you need to make sure you have a scale that’s fairly accurate. With most body butter recipes you’ll find that some ingredients are listed by weight (ounces), and others by volume metrics (cups, teaspoons). Below is one of the easiest recipes I’ve found for making easy homemade whipped body butter. Because it’s basic, it also gives you some room to improvise and change anything you want. This recipe requires shea butter, which you can either make or purchase.

Whipped Body Butter Recipe

1.5 Cups of Raw, unrefined Shea Butter

0.5 Cups of Olive Oil

0.5 oz. fragrance of your choice

Start by heating up the Shea butter in a medium sized sauce pan. Once you’ve liquified the Shea butter you can add in the olive oil. Once mixed, take off of the stove and let cool for 30 minutes. Once it starts to thicken, add in your fragrance. The fragrance choice was left open so that you could pick something you prefer.

Now use a hand-held blender to whip your mixture until it appears similar to mousse. This will take about 10 minutes. It helps if your bowl and blender tips are cold (stick them in the freezer for 10 mins prior to use).Once you’ve reached this point you can store your body butter in a container. I have found that I prefer to store my body butter in plastic containers that I buy from the grocery store. This is the easiest. Just make sure the container seals tight.

A great resource that I have used is this book here. It has tons of great tips and tricks as well as easy recipes for anyone wanting to start making their own spa products. You can click here to get it now. It is a great place to get started.

Till next time,

Homemade Spa Parties are extremely popular. I love having my friends over and it’s great because we can spend time chatting, and we also get to relax and just unwind.

It isn’t uncommon to hear about people having spa parties at home because it’s fun, inexpensive and rewarding all rolled in to one. You too can plan your own homemade spa party by gathering certain items, materials and at home spa recipes. Not to mention, people! You can find many of the items in your own kitchen or thrift stores are a great place to look and will cost much less than those at a retail store. It is only fair that you are allowed to be pampered once in a great while and who doesn’t want to feel relaxed and refreshed?

How to Throw a Homemade Spa Party – Here is How I do it!

The items will vary depending on what you have planned for your homemade spa party so the following is simply a guideline. Common items used at a spa party include:

plastic bowls for hands/feet,

hand towels or washcloths (attractively stacked in a basket if possible),

clothes basket for used cloths and towels,

cotton balls, nail polish,

inexpensive plastic or elastic headbands (for facial treatments),

pitchers

nail and/or foot files,

pumice stone

relaxing music.

Now you also want to have the ingredients on hand should you plan to demonstrate homemade spa treatments otherwise you need to have hand/foot soaks, facial cleanser, eye masks, etc. All the necessary ingredients to have a successful spa party.

Having some kind of ‘plan’ for your homemade spa party will make things go smoothly and you will appear to be a professional, whether it is your first or fifth spa party. Have all the materials and items in an orderly fashion readily available for each person at the party. This means have a bowl for soaking hands/feet at each place setting, towels between each seat, etc. I generally also use a basket containing nail files, polish etc. that can be passed around to each person. If you plan to demonstrate homemade spa recipes, set up a table holding all the necessary items and ingredients, but have some ready for use that your guests can use while you demonstrate. You don’t want to hold up the party while demonstrating…I’ve been there before!

Providing information on what people used in terms of spa products and samples is very helpful in terms of why you chose the treatments you chose and the benefits they provide. This will encourage your guests to come again should you have another party and will help them better understand what will work for their skin type etc. So doing your homework before having a homemade spa party is highly beneficial. It doesn’t have to be super fancy, but I have found that having some basic information goes a long way.

You could even create little note cards for each of your at home spa recipes for the guests to take home after the party. Even if they make their own they are sure to come back for another party. Have a variety of nail polish colors on hand and if you do not have a large assortment of your own, encourage your guests to bring their own favorite polish. Some prefer this so it is not an outrageous suggestion.

Choose your favorite relaxing music suitable for a spa party that all your guests can enjoy. Keep the volume low but audible so when the treatments are setting, soaking, etc, the atmosphere will be that of an actual spa. I have used classical music, new age type music, instrumental music, and even jazz music. One, and make sure of this one important thing: HAVE FUN! Your homemade spa party is sure to be a success no matter how you do it as long as you remember to have fun!

For more great tips on how to throw a great spa party at home click here! This eBook helped me a lot with recipes, tips, and ideas on how to throw a great homemade spa product. Check it out here!

Have fun at your spa party!

Did you know that there is no need to spend your hard earned money on spa treatments in order to pamper yourself when you can learn how to make homemade spa products with at home spa recipes. I’ve found that many recipes use ingredients you may even already have in your kitchen and that alone helps you save money. You can achieve the same results you would from going to a spa by making your own spa recipes at home. Quick makeovers can leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and let’s face it, who doesn’t want that?!

At Home Spa Recipes

Your eyes are said to be the window to your soul. After all, the eyes are typically what a person focuses on when having a conversation with someone. Unfortunately, the eyes are also what makes some of us appear to be older than we really are. That said here are some great at home spa recipes that will bring life back to your eyes and can shave years off of your appearance. Thinly slice a cucumber and place a slice over each eye. Leave on for up to twenty minutes or less if you are short on time.

Another thing I have found that is great for puffy eyes is Tea. Tea is a great way to reduce puffy eyes. Just place a damp tea bag over your eyes for as long as you can. Its been my experience that if you combine those with a good night’s sleep and your eyes will feel much better in the morning.

I also love getting facials, and facials are a popular spa treatment many people enjoy. There are so many different at home spa recipes concerning facials but a very common treatment involves the combination of oatmeal and honey. This facial recipe is great for naturally oily or acne-prone skin and works wonders as a mild exfoliate. For this recipe you will need half a cup of oatmeal, two tbsp of honey and a quarter cup buttermilk or plain yogurt. Grind the oatmeal until it is very fine. In a separate bowl mix the yogurt and honey together. Slowly add the oatmeal, mixing together until the consistency is smooth. Apply to your face and neck. Leave it on for twenty minutes then rinse with warm water. Use daily or how often you like.

Our feet take most of our body’s daily abuse, especially for those of us who seem to be on our feet more often than not. The spa can offer wonderful relaxing foot treatments but now you can have the same experience in the comfort of your own home. This at home spa recipe is for the feet and is to be left on overnight so a clean pair of cotton socks are also needed. Grind a quarter cup of almonds and a quarter cup of dry oatmeal. Combine almonds and oatmeal with three tbsp cocoa butter (food grade) and two tbsp of honey. Apply the mixture on your clean feet, rubbing in really good. Put on your clean cotton socks and do not remove until the next morning. Rinse your feet in cold water and you now have moisturized, refreshed feet. You’ll never want to visit the spa again once you see how easy and inexpensive it is to treat yourself at home.

These are just a few of the recipes I use from the Hand Crafters Companion eBook. There are dozens of recipes and if you are looking for at home spa recipes than this is the best recipe book I have found!

I hope to hear from you about what your favorite recipes were!

I’ve always found that a visit to the spa is a way to relieve the stresses of life or to simply be pampered for a few hours if not an entire day. It’s something I always look forward to…. “me time” …that helps me just to take some time for myself and forget about the daily grind of life.

Unfortunately going to the spa can be expensive, and not everyone has a lot of of money to simply spend as they wish, so for many people a spa visit becomes a ‘treat’ for most. Luckily you can avoid the hassle and costs involved in a visit the spa. How?

Do what I do! By bringing the spa to your own home! You can quickly learn how to make homemade spa products and homemade skin care products to enjoy whenever you like in the comfort of your own home on your own time. While the environment may not be the same as it would be at an actual spa facility, it doesn’t mean you cannot reap the same benefits as you would with an actual spa visit…plus, you get to save a lot of money (something everyone is trying to do now days).

You will also spend a lot less money buying just a few ingredients, depending on the spa product you decide to make and enjoy. Many of the items that you need to make homemade spa products you may probably already have in your kitchen. Let’s discuss how to make homemade spa products that you can pick and choose to suit your needs best.

How to Make Homemade Spa Products

Body scrubs are a wonderful treat to the skin that can make your skin silky smooth and oh so radiant. Some body scrubs that are sold at stores can be a tad pricey and those that are affordable do not always provide the best results. This is even more true for those who have sensitive skin. Many spa products designed for sensitive skin can be very expensive but not anymore, now that you can make your own.

You can make body scrubs using salt, sugar (white or brown), coffee and even oatmeal.

Boxy scrubs are used as an exfoliate to remove dead skin cells leaving silky smooth skin. Simply mix your base, salt or sugar, with an essential oil of your aroma choice. Start with a couple teaspoons until the body scrub has your desired consistency. Store in a container such as a jar. It’s that easy and is why anyone can learn how to make homemade spa products. After I use these on my skin I normally get compliments from a few people…yes, it even makes me blush!

You might also wish to learn how to make homemade spa products that are similar to body scrubs, such as bath oil. You can create your own luxurious bath oil with your all-time favorite scent. Bath oils can nourish and moisten the skin while leaving you feeling completely relaxed at the same time. Homemade bath oils are less likely to leave you with that oily skin residue unlike some store bought oils, that seems to stay no matter how hard you try to completely remove it. Making your own bath oil is really easy.

Here’s how I do it:

First you want to choose your base oil. Castor oil is a wonderful base as it disperses in water better but a light base would work too such as sunflower or almond oil. Next you need to choose your favorite essential oil. Take a glass jar or bottle and pour the base oil inside. Add up to twenty drops of the essential oil to the base. Now cover and mix well by shaking. When it’s time to enjoy your homemade bath oil add a tsp to your water and mix with your hands. This oil should store up to two weeks but if you do not plan to use it all before that time, consider making smaller amounts at a time so as not to waste any.

These are just a few of the recipes and things I do when making homemade spa products. If you want to know how to make homemade spa products that are quick, simple, and easy to make click here. You will learn about the Home Crafter’s Companion Guide, which is the #1 eBook I recommend on how to make homemade spa products. Its what I use almost every time I make homemade spa products myself.

Most women will tell you that bath bombs are the greatest and I would agree 100%! There is nothing like relaxing in a nice warm bath with bath bombs that make you smell great and your skin feel even better. Baths are great for relieving the stresses of a hard day or when you need a night of pampering. Of course bath salts and bubbles are also used but some of the ingredients in any bath product can usually be questionable. This is why it can be very beneficial to make bath bombs at home so you always have them on hand and should you run out, you can make them instead of waiting till the next time you get to the store.

Homemade bath bombs can make your skin feel super soft without a big mess to clean up afterward. Think of a bath bomb like a volcano project you probably did in school. When you used baking soda and vinegar to make the volcano bubbly so it would erupt. Bath bombs are similar to that very volcano. When the bath bomb hits the water it fizzes and disperses the oils in the water as well as the air. If you have overly or just plain sensitive skin you should avoid store-bought bombs and simply make bath bombs at home.

How to Make Bath Bombs at Home

Here is a recipe that I use that is fairly simple and basic should you choose to make bath bombs at home. The ingredients needed are baking soda, fine citric acid, witch hazel, essential oils of your choosing and up to 2 inch molds. You then take one part citric acid and combine with two parts baking soda. If you enjoy using Epsom or sea salt add one part of this as well. Try to choose a very fine grain if possible. Blend all of these dry ingredients very well to increase the chances of your bath bomb turning out properly.

Now it’s time to add in the essential oils to the dry mix. The best part about using essential oils is that they come from plants and are not like synthetic oils which can cause allergic reactions in some people. Feel free to make your own combination or simply use a single oil. Should you have allergies to pollen it’s important to avoid oils that come from flowers and you might consider herbal oils. Once you have blended the oils with the dry mixture fill a spray bottle with the witch hazel. You then spray the witch hazel in the mixture constantly stirring until it all sticks together. Press down on the mixture to see if it sticks good.

When it does, you can then put them in the molds. Who knew one could make bath bombs at home with such ease?

Place the mixture in the molds and press together. Do not worry if you have some coming out between the seam of the molds as this actually increases the chance of the bath bomb staying together. Wait just a few minutes then gently release the bath bomb from the mold by gently tapping the mold. Let the bombs dry on a towel for several hours, overnight if possible. Store them in a container and grab one when you go to take a bath. You now know how to make bath bombs at home so you have no reason not to relax and pamper yourself once in a while with a nice relaxing bath filled with your very own bath bomb creations.

Pretty simple, right? If you want to learn more great tips on making homemade spa products click here! You’ll learn about the best eBook available on how to make bath bombs and other spa products at home. It is what I personally use and goes into exact detail. Best of all, if you don’t like it, you get a 100% Money Back Guarantee! You can’t beat that!

Enjoy your bath bombs and take some time for yourself!

This article is on making bath salts–something that can really make a bath enjoyable and nurturing.

Making bath salts can be a fun and enjoyable hobby and way to spend time with kids, or enjoy time to yourself. We’ve already discussed how easy it is to make Homemade Bath Bombs. Making bath salts is really easy to do, too.

Additionally, if you enjoy taking long baths then making bath salts will really be a fun hobby for you because you will get to enjoy the bath salts personally. There are few things in life as enjoyable as soaking in a hot warm bath, and letting the bath salts you made go to work on healing and nourishing your body. It really can be a great way to emotionally heal yourself.

If you are looking into making bath salts here are the basic things you will need and here is how I make them:

1) You will, of course, need salt. Different people prefer different things when making bath salts, but you can combine both sea salt and Epsom salts.

2) You will need a scent. Most of the time when making bath salts people use fragrance oils, aromatherapy oils, or essential oils.

3) Equipment to mix everything in. Glass or metal bowls can work fine for this.

4) Equipment to mix everything with. You can use spoons for mixing or whisks for mixing.

5) Plastic or glass jars to put the final product in. Plastic is recommended because if you drop a plastic jar it won’t break, and if you have kids, especially small kids, this is something you have to think about.

There are some other tips/tricks when making bath salts that you might want to include. These include dendritic salt, or natrasorb salt. These are designed to hold the fragrance in when you are making bath salts. Additionally, liquid soap colors or micas work well to hold color in your bath salts. Finally, baking soda is a great water conditioner and also can be used as a skin softener ingredient.

Once you have this equipment you will also need measuring cups to measure out the specific ingredients needed for making bath salts.

Once you have the equipment lined up and are ready to make bath salts just follow the instructions. It really is easy and a fun hobby to have. The other thing you need to be careful of is making sure that you don’t spill the ingredients, and also to make sure that you don’t get any of the ingredients in your eyes. It is recommended when making bath salts to wear an apron and rubber gloves, and to also use eye protection. If you have children with you make sure they are dressed appropriately, too.

If you are read to start making bath salts or homemade bath bombs then click here. You’ll get the Home Crafter’s Companion and it comes with a 60-day Unconditional Money Back Guarantee! Get it instantly! It’s what I use and recommend in making bath salts, and I couldn’t live without it!

I hope you enjoy making bath salts just as much as I do!

Are you looking for information on how to make homemade bath bombs? You’ve come to the right place. We’ve previously discussed how to make homemade skin care products. This article will discuss how to make homemade bath bombs and the ingredients necessary.

Let’s face it. After a long and stressful day, there is nothing better than coming home and sitting in a warm hot, bathtub that will soak away all the daily frustrations in life.

But did you know that a lot of the chemicals in non-homemade bath bombs are not healthy chemicals? There are petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, and other non-healthy or unnatural chemicals in most non homemade bath bombs.

Fortunately, there are lots of remedies in homemade bath bombs and making homemade bath bombs can be a fun, relaxing, and even financially rewarding hobby.

How do homemade bath bombs work?

Homemade bath bombs combine citric acid powder, and baking soda. These only react together when the are put into water. Once these homemade bath bombs are dropped into the water they move around, fizz, and release oils into the air and water. This makes the bath fun and very relaxing.

The good thing is making homemade bath bombs is EXTREMELY easy and anyone can do it. If you’re interested in making homemade bath bombs here is what I use:

Baking Soda

Rubber Gloves

Witch Hazel

Molds for the Soap (normally no larger than 2 inches)

Essential Oils (Some of these include: Almond oil, Rosewater, Vitamin E oil, Fine Citric Acid)

Food Coloring

A Large Mixing Bowl

A large spoon or whisk to mix the ingredients

You will then blend these together depending on several things. You can also add sea salts or Epsom salts into this bath. Make sure that if you do decide to add salt into your homemade bath bombs that you use fine grain salts, and that you blend this material together really well.

You will then add in your essential oils for scent. Once you make your bath bomb you will know that each bath bomb should last for a few baths. Of course it depends on how much water you use, the size of the bath, the size of the bomb, and more. And of course how long you soak in the tub also plays an important part in how long your homemade bath bomb will last. I know I myself have sat in a tub so long I’ve used up a bath bomb in just one bath. What can I say?

If you are ready to learn how to make homemade bath bombs, and how to make dozens of other homemade skin care products and spa products, then you need to invest in this eBook. Its the Handcrafter’s Companion! I use it to make all of my homemade bath bombs and other products. It really is a nice step-by-step guide and is great for all the spa products you want to make Get it here instantly! You won’t be sorry you did.

Are you interested in learning how to make or what to look for in Homemade skin care products? You’ve come to the right place! This article will discuss how to make homemade skin care products. We’ve previously discussed how to make homemade skin treatments here!

Making, using, and getting homemade skincare products has been a great hobby for many people. Additionally, if you learn how to make homemade skincare products you can save money off of what you would spend on buying skin care products. I know that I love saving money but still enjoy having great quality products.

Another benefit is the ability to turn this into a fun hobby. Making homemade skin care products can be extremely relaxing and rewarding. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get and how people rave about my homemade skin care products and other products…and people are always asking me how to make them.

Some of the issues that making homemade skin care products have resolved include treating acne, treating excessive sweating, body scars, and sometimes even cellulite. I have personally seen results in lots of areas.

Most of the ingredients involved in making homemade skin treatments are in your kitchen pantry or fridge right now. Apples, tomatoes, or other fruits and vegetables can be used to make homemade skin care products.

Almost all natural ingredients from your home will be safer and more natural and be better for your skin, your health, and your complexion than store bought skin care products. When you make your own homemade skin care products you will know what exactly is in the skin care products. You will know what ingredient does what, and how each ingredient influences another ingredient.

Another benefit of learning how to make homemade skin care products is that fact that these skincare products can be extremely luxurious. Not only are the products healthy, natural, and inexpensive, but they can be very refreshing, high class, and of such high quality.

Some homemade skin care products, due to natural ingredients, have been known to produce incredible results and help people heal blemishes and other skin problems.

If you are looking for a way to exfoliate, there are ways to utilize chocolate in a face mask recipe. If you want to scrub your body, there are also body scrub recipes available.

You can also utilize ingredients and use them multiple times for the same item. For example, apples or fruit or chocolate are not just used in one skincare product, but are going to be used in multiple products. Plus, if you don’t use the ingredients you can cook up a very nice meal for you and your friends or family.

Want to know another great and easy benefit of learning how to make homemade skin care products? You can make money doing this. And people LOVE buying it. All you have to do is get the word out, which is extremely easy to do, or give away a few products and people will absolutely love what you sell and beg to get more of it. I know, my own mother does this, and she can’t keep enough of her stuff in stock for people. Plus, if you just post something on Facebook people will instantly be wanting to buy your stuff. It really is a great business to have.
